The Sanctuary Choir (high school through adult) is directed by director Aimée Larson–Amend. This choir fills the sanctuary with beautiful voices and sacred music for the 11:15 a.m. Sunday service (September through June) and for special services at Christmas and during Lent. Rehearsal time is 7 p.m. every Wednesday in the main church building. The choir also provides special music once a month in the summer, rehearsing in the hour before the service.
Mission Bells (high school through adult) rehearse Wednesday evenings, from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. in the Sanctuary. This group plays in worship once a month (September through June) at the 11:15 a.m. Sanctuary service. Training is available for beginning players.
The MICAH Praise Band accompanies congregational singing and leads worship at the 8:45 a.m. praise service in the MICAH Worship Center.
CrossFire is the youth band, led by Praise Leader, Jennie Pitney. They typically rehearse in the MICAH Worship Center every other Sunday from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. CrossFire leads worship for the praise service about once a quarter and provides additional music for other all-church events. Individual members of CrossFire also join to lead worship with the MICAH Praise Band.
Rejoice! Kids’ Choir! Children’s choir time is at 10:10 a.m. on the first Sunday of the month beginning October 6th in the third floor choir room in the main church building. This group is for all children ages 3 through 5th grade. They sing in worship throughout the school year in both services. The children are led in singing and other musical merriment by Sarah Pitney-Torres and Courtney Karns.
Summer Choir – During the summer, ALL SINGERS (high school and older) are invited to sing on communion Sundays. The choir rehearses from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary and then sings during the worship service at 11:15 a.m.
Anthems are chosen for their accessibility, so they may be learned in one rehearsal. People singing in the Summer Choir will not wear robes. No sign-up is required. Just show up on Sunday morning and add your voice to the choir.
