Saturdays of Service

Saturdays of Service is an all church mission, offered quarterly for participants of all ages!

We first meet in the dining room of the historic Sanctuary building on Saturday afternoon for a light lunch and time of fellowship. Then the group divides into work teams to support community service projects and outreach such as the Union Gospel Mission, The Marion Polk Food Share, The Lee Mission Cemetery, and the Backpack Buddies Program. There is a project for each age group. To volunteer, please use the volunteer sign-up on this website.

Several projects are lined up and participants reach out to the local community through food pantry work, UGM kitchen cleaning, Marion Polk Food share garden work, packing bag lunches for needy school children, and making dog and cat toys for animals at the Humane Society.
