Are you going through a tough time emotionally or spiritually? Are you struggling with a crisis in life or simply feeling down?
Consider letting a Stephen Minister help. A Stephen minister is a member of our congregation who is trained to listen, care, encourage, pray, and walk alongside you during difficult times. It’s confidential, free, and very helpful.
Do you have a friend, neighbor, coworker, or relative going through a difficult time?
A Stephen Minister may be able to offer the support he or she needs. Stephen Ministers are members of our church trained to provide emotional and spiritual care to people who are hurting.

PRAYER LINE: 503-362-8149
The Prayer Line is maintained by Stephen Ministers. A recorded prayer is available to offer comfort to you. The First United Methodist Church Prayer Chain is a group of members who have committed to pray earnestly for those who request their prayers. The church office will activate the prayer chain by calling the first two people listed on the prayer chain, and pass on the information regarding the prayers needed. The prayers and concerns shared with us are kept confidential. Please leave your name and phone number on the answering machine if you’d like us to call back with a personal prayer.
