First United Methodist Church has established a Visitation Ministry Program. Volunteers visit members who are no longer able to attend church and those members who are hospitalized or homebound. Visitation is an opportunity to share God’s love while caring for others. Home visitation volunteers are asked to make one visit and/or a phone call each month. Hospital visitation volunteers are requested to make visits on an assigned day each week. Training and support will be provided. For more information, contact Leta Brewster, Visitation Chair at 503-483-1099.
Join our strong visitation ministry. We send volunteers to the hospital every day of the week and do home visits by request.
The Inreach Team also organizes rides for seniors in the church who can’t get to services on their own and they try to meet the needs surfacing within the congregation. If you are interested in being a part of this ministry or have a need we could fill, please contact the church office.
